Greenside University is proud to feature Dr. Amit Thakur, a distinguished scientist, academic leader, researcher, and author whose career reflects unwavering commitment to scientific advancement and education.
Dr. Thakur holds an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from HNB Garhwal Central University and an MBA from Vinayaka Mission University. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to science and education, he was awarded the Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree by Gsbct and an Honorary Doctorate by the World Charity Welfare Foundation for his service to the education sector.
His professional journey spans both industry and academia. He previously served as a Senior Quality Chemist at Torrent Pharmaceutical Limited, one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Currently, he is the Director at Aadharshila Academy, an ISO and MSME certified institute, and also contributes as a Guest Chemistry Faculty at Gurukul Senior Secondary School, Joginder Nagar.
Dr. Thakur is widely respected for his expertise in chemical testing and advanced analytical instrumentation, including but not limited to:
HPLC, RRLC, Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, NMR, XRD, DSC, FTIR, UV Spectrophotometry, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Karl Fischer, Kjeldahl apparatus, Rheometers, Particle Size Analysis, and more.
With 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and 12 years in teaching and research, his work bridges practical science and academic excellence. He has three patents applied, demonstrating his commitment to innovation and applied research.
In 2025, Dr. Thakur authored several influential academic books:
* The Architecture of Metal Ligand Chemistry
* Foundations of Chemical Thinking Kinetics and Thermodynamics
* Foundations of Organic Reaction Mechanisms and Stereochemistry
* Foundations of Molecular Spectroscopy and Spectrometry
